Requirements
Manual Lathe experience/skills-
•Must possess experience interpreting complex machining drawings and blue prints.
•Must possess experience holding +/_ .0005 tolerances using manual lathe.
Must possess experience with basic machining inspection tools. Calipers, mics, tri-mics, depth/thread/ring & wire gages, and ID/OD go/No Go gages, ect.
•Must possess experience: machining Bores thru and blind, Threading ID and OD threads- metric and standard single point threading. Counter bore machining, taper machining ect
•5 & 6”s, Kaizen, lean manufacturing experience is a plus.


•Forms and shapes complex material
•Operates lathes, drill presses, mills, routers, grinding machines, duplicating, and profile machines, brakesand shears
•Operates light-duty bench or floor machine tools and equipment such as small lathes, power mills,extruding machines, drills or punch presses, power brakes, shears or saws
•Works from complex drawings, process sheets and sketches to perform production tasks, which mayinclude the cutting and shaping of metal to precision dimensions
•Sets up machines and makes adjustments, and performs maintenance on machines
•Checks work using prescribed gauges, jigs and fixtures to measure close tolerances
•Monitors and verifies quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures
•Provides direction, and /or trains less experienced employees
•Delegates work to less experienced employees
•Interfaces with employees and managers within the department, Manufacturing, and Engineering
•Develops solutions to complex technical problems of limited scope, and completion of routine technicaltasks
•Minimal supervision, work may be done without established procedures
•Open to new ideas and can serve as a champion for change and acts to support change when directed frommanagement

Associate’s degree or equivalent is required plus a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.

This position requires potential access to technology controlled under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
