We are actively seeking a Sr Adv Machinist Tech 1 to join our team. The successful candidate will be a key contributor to our team.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
•Forms and shapes complex material - Operates “3,4,5 axis” CNC machines, fabricates complex parts and components from engineering drawings with tight tolerances.
•Operates lathes, drill presses, mills, routers, CNC mills, CNC lathes, grinding machines, duplicating, and profile machines, brakes and shears
•Operates light-duty bench or floor machine tools and equipment such as small lathes, power mills, extruding machines, drills or punch presses, power brakes, shears or saws
•Works from complex drawings, process sheets and sketches to perform production tasks, which may include the cutting and shaping of metal to precision dimensions
•Sets up machines and makes adjustments, and performs maintenance on machines
•Checks work using prescribed gauges, jigs and fixtures to measure close tolerances
•Monitors and verifies quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures
•Provides direction, and /or trains less experienced employees
•Delegates work to less experienced employees
•Interfaces with employees and managers within the department, Manufacturing, and Engineering
•Develops solutions to complex technical problems of limited scope, and completion of routine technical tasks
•Minimal supervision, work may be done without established procedures
•Open to new ideas and can serve as a champion for change and acts to support change when directed from management
•Ability to read and follow instructions including blueprints

Minimum job requirements (including degrees, licenses and/or certifications):
•Associate’s degree or equivalent is required plus a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.
This position requires potential access to technology controlled under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR). The successful candidate must be a “U.S. Person” as defined under ITAR and EAR.
