Job Summary
We are actively seeking a Sr Adv Machinist Tech 1   to join our team. The successful candidate will be a key contributor to our team.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities of the Job
•   Forms and shapes complex material
•   Operates lathes, drill presses, mills, routers, CNC mills, CNC lathes, grinding machines, duplicating, and profile machines, brakes and shears
•   Operates light-duty bench or floor machine tools and equipment such as small lathes, power mills, extruding machines, drills or punch presses, power brakes, shears or saws
•   Works from complex drawings, process sheets and sketches to perform production tasks, which may include the cutting and shaping of metal to precision dimensions
•   Sets up machines and makes adjustments, and performs maintenance on machines
•   Checks work using prescribed gauges, jigs and fixtures to measure close tolerances
•   Monitors and verifies quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures
•   Provides direction, and /or trains less experienced employees
•   Delegates work to less experienced employees
•   Interfaces with employees and managers within the department, Manufacturing, and Engineering
•   Develops solutions to complex technical problems of limited scope, and completion of routine technical tasks
•   Minimal supervision, work may be done without established procedures
•   Open to new ideas and can serve as a champion for change and acts to support change when directed from management
Minimally Required Skills    
•   Ability to read and follow instructions including blueprints
•   Distinct interpersonal skills to cooperate and work effectively with others

•   Ability to multitask
•   Ability to provide direction and delegate work
•   Good knowledge of CNC programming

Minimum job requirements (including degrees, licenses and/or certifications):
•   Associate’s degree or equivalent is required plus a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.
