Reporting to the Machine Shop Supervisor, the Machinist will operate machining equipment and create parts for the Econco facility.

Econco is located in Woodland, CA and has 80 team members who ensure Econco continues to be a recognized leader in rebuilt power tubes, that are used worldwide. As an important unit of CPI MPP, Econco also designs and manufactures new high-power magnetrons for use in industrial heating, cooking and processing applications.
• Set-up and operation of machines

• Machining of parts and tools for manufacturing operation

• Working knowledge of characteristics of Molybdenum, Kovar, Copper, Cupronickel, Nickel, and Stainless steels

• Working with a punch press, mills, grinders, drill presses, lathes, sheers, horizontal and vert saws

• Perform work with a comprehensive knowledge of machining practices, measurement and evaluation skills, and tooling applications

• Development and manufacture of stamping dies

• Minimum of 3 years of related experience and/or training required

• High school diploma or general education (GED)

• Knowledge of Inventory software and Manufacturing software

• Ability to read and interpret documents

• Ability to use measuring tools (dial calipers, ID gauge, threat gauges, height gauges, etc.)

• Ability to calculate figures and amounts. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

• Ability to speak effectively

• Must be able to lift and/or move 50 pounds

• Must be able to work overtime if needed and on short notice.

This position requires potential access to technology controlled under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR). The successful candidate must be a “U.S. Person” as defined under ITAR and EAR.
