Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Senior Cost Accountant will provide cost accounting reporting for CPI’s Econco facility.
Econco is located in Woodland, CA and has 80 team members who ensure Econco continues to be a recognized leader in rebuilt power tubes, that are used worldwide. As an important unit of CPI MPP, Econco also designs and manufactures new high-power magnetrons for use in industrial heating, cooking and processing applications.
Product cost responsibilities and related month-end closing reconciliations and journal entries
Responsible for oversight of cycle counts; cost proposals; annual target cost reviews
Performing Government rate audits; Internal control audits
Reporting and process improvement projects
Assist Controller as needed
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
• 2-4 years of Cost Accounting experience in a manufacturing environment
• Strong Excel skills - including expertise in use of Pivot Tables and Macros
• Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
• Must be a U.S. Citizen
• Knowledge of prime contract with the U.S government, FAR rules, regulations and indirect applied rates
