The CPI Enterprise Application Architect will be responsible for reviewing current and potential technologies, standards, applications, services and systems to ensure the appropriate and successful use of technology is in place to support CPI applications and business. They are an established enterprise architect with broad domain experience in business, systems, data and technology. This role is also responsible for IT governance oversight alongside driving transformative initiatives, ensuring accurate and timely collection of key metrics and performance indicators that are used to make departmental decisions.
The Enterprise Application Architect will work closely with the IT & Business Leadership to establish standards and document current and future state architecture, will also collaborate with IT and business teams to develop future state and business capability roadmaps. Will work closely with solution architects to ensure designs are developed and implemented based on established architecture principles and guidelines.
Lead Business Applications Roadmap, Mission, Vision, and Strategy for all of CPI.
Leads Enterprise Applications Architecture Planning Forum to validate and align requests to the enterprise strategy, roadmap and polices.
Serve as a Trusted Advisor and Clearinghouse on all enterprise applications architecture and related technology requests and implementations.
Establish the role of the Enterprise Architect responsible for all internal applications spanning Sales, Marketing, Quality Finance, HR, Compliance, and Supply Chain, in a federated architecture governance model.
Analyze, plan, and develop requirements and standards in reference to scheduled projects
Research and evaluate technology options and weigh the cost/benefit analysis when making recommendations on behalf of the company
Reviews new business requirements and leads in the decision-making process for application technology solutions.
Collaborate with members of IT to review and assess the architecture of products, systems, or applications for compliance to existing standards, guidelines, or best practices.
Collaborate with other Enterprise Architects and Domain Owners to ensure that any recommendations or approaches will align well from an application, infrastructure, and data perspective.
Performs in depth technical analysis, research proof of concepts and evaluations as required to validate that the recommendations Enterprise Architecture makes are sound and will not introduce risk into IT Execution.
Maintain an understanding of long-term company strategy and ensure that designs will enable the company to meet the changing industry/competitive demands.
Prepare presentations, documents, diagrams, models, and other artefacts as required to communicate analysis, recommendations, or designs.
Communicate with stakeholders at varying levels within the organization to drive our use of technology forward.
Prepare materials to support the IT Governance Committee (monthly) and IT Steering Committee (as required).
Recommend long-term direction on strategic advancements within the technical portfolio.
Offer insight, guidance, and direction on the usage of emerging trends and technical capabilities.
Minimally Required Competency/Skills:
Experience designing the deployment of applications and infrastructure into public cloud services.
Ability to effectivity present project updates with a firm understanding of dependencies, scope, cost, and milestones.
Experience working in a high-level collaborative environment and promoting a teamwork mentality
Strong functional and technical knowledge of enterprise applications and systems like OneStream, ServiceNow, and JD Edwards.
Knowledge of Microsoft technologies with experience in consultative solutioning and selling; Azure PaaS / IaaS, Azure DevOps, Dynamics 365, Microsoft 365 is preferred
Familiarity with multiple technology, application and data domains to drive modernization and optimization of systems.
Ability to map complex business processes and define target state architecture with the appropriate use of automation.
Must be able to effectively communicate, and influence teams to do what is best for Arch without direct reporting responsibility.
Demonstrated understanding of Project Management processes, strategies, and methods
Basic Understanding of CMMC, NIST Cyber Security Framework and FEDRAMP requirements is preferred.
10+ years of experience in developing application architecture road maps, reference architectures, and evangelizing adoption of architecture principles in the design and delivery of technology solutions.
Experience with enterprise integration platforms, messaging infrastructures, and event driven architectures, web and mobile development technologies/services, CRM platforms, COTS software.
A great understanding of the security processes, standards & issues involved in multi cloud or hybrid applications.
