Duties and Responsibilities
•   Assist with the month-end accounting closing process and preparing monthly internal financial reports.
•   Assist with and/or lead technical accounting research efforts; analyze, research and conclude on new and proposed accounting, reporting and disclosure standards issued by the FASB and prepare memorandums regarding the Company’s position and impact on the Company.
•   Assist with special projects, such as acquisition accounting and integration, new software implementation and new accounting standard implementation, as needed.
•   Perform monthly hedge accounting for foreign exchange hedges.
•   Review monthly variance analysis and work with manufacturing divisions to resolve accounting related issues.
•   Review compliance with and documentation maintained for ASC 606 revenue recognition by the manufacturing divisions.
•   Prepare and/or review account reconciliations and maintain corporate accrual entries.
•   Perform the quarterly intercompany cash clearing.
•   Be a key contributor for implementation of ASC 842 Lease Accounting, which will be effective on October 1, 2022 for CPI.
•   Assist with preparation and consolidation of tax schedules.
•   Perform periodic audits of internal accounting at Corporate and manufacturing divisions.
•   Act as liaison with external auditors.
•   Maintain and update Company accounting policies and procedures.
•   Prepare global transfer pricing documentation and analyses.
•   Analyze and review cost reports within government contract requirements. Keep awareness of any government rate changes and communicate/apply, as appropriate.
•   Assist in maintaining the Corporate consolidation system, including setting up of new GL accounts and configuring, building, and testing reports.
•   Compile data and complete government surveys and censuses.
•   Other duties as assigned or required.

This is a hands-on position with no direct reports. To be successful, this person must work with various Corporate and Division functional teams and third-party service providers.
