QA Engineer/Technologist (Regulatory Specialist) - Temporary/Contract

Description
Works in Quality Assurance to handle regulatory requirements for both Satcom and Communications & Medical Products Division.

Duties include:
  • Reports to QA Manager
  • Conduct and schedule internal and external EMC and electrical safety tests to IEC standards.
  • Work with Development engineers to troubleshoot EMC and electrical safety difficulties.
  • Analyse PWBAs/CCAs for compliance to IEC electrical safety standards.
  • Perform submissions to the various regulatory/statutory agencies as required.
  • Keep abreast and understand the revisions to various IEC standards and regulatory/statutory agencies and quality standards (EU, Canada, US, Japan).
  • Work with high voltage product.
  • Perform data analysis.
  • Write reports/procedures.
  • Aid Senior Regulatory Specialist when regulatory audits are performed.
  • Work with senior Regulatory Specialist and take direction.
Requirements
  • Community College Graduate (3 Yr Electronics Technologist) or B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering
  • 1 – 4 years experience
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
  • Experience with RF or high voltage or switch mode power supplies would be an asset.
