Position Overview

The Program Manager is responsible for the coordination, management, and delivery of the organization's various programs, projects, and services. The Program Manager is also required to coordinate with Design, Engineering and Operations staff with respect to scheduling, assignments, logistics, and budgeting to ensure the successful facilitation of ASD programs. This position reports to the Director, PMO.

Job Duties
  • Organize and manage ASD programs, through all stages of planning and execution.
  • Interpret technical and commercial requirements and develop firm program deliverables.
  • Identify program risks and refine potential solutions.
  • Arrange in depth technical analyses and assessments.
  • Administer program budget(s) and ensure it is adhered to.
  • Schedule revenue, expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
  • Manage program communications and promotion.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate program records.
  • Manage the development, production and distribution of program materials.
  • Prepare and facilitate regular meetings with assigned customers.
  • Maintain positive and professional communication with customers
  • Maintain positive and professional communication with ASD staff.
  • Review and assess feedback on all programs for continuous improvement.
  • Pursue professional development opportunities.
  • Ensure the safety of staff and the public at large.
  • Other duties may be assigned as required.

Required and Desired Skills
  • Experience with government and military related projects and programs
  • Experience and expertise with US and International Field Installation projects
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Self-motivated and able to work under pressure

Required Education/ Experience
  • SatCom experience preferred
  • 5+ years' experience as a Program or Project Manager preferred
  • PMP Designation an asset
  • Bachelor’s Degree required

Clearance Statement

Applicants selected for this position would be required to work on government and military programs subject to the United States International Traffic in Arms Regulations ("ITAR," 22 CFR 120-130), and potentially on programs that require a United States government security clearance. As such, only candidates that meet the eligibility requirements under the ITAR and who are eligible for most levels of a US Government security clearance will be considered.
