Position Overview

To assemble various mid-sized components and pack finished products in designated crates/boxes to customers’ specifications and company policy.

Requirements

Essential Job Functions
  • Assemble parts according to specifications using manual and/or pneumatics air tools
  • Construct crates for product according to specifications
  • Must pack finished products into designated crates/boxes with correct labels, appropriate hardware and accessories.
  • Completes required job control, inventory and related reports (example: timecards)
  • Maintains assigned work area and equipment in a safe and professional manner.
  • Assemble, line, and pad cartons, crates and containers, using hand tools.
  • Examine and inspect containers, materials and products in order to ensure that packing specifications are met.
  • Remove completed or defective products or materials, and place them in the staging area for shipping or quality inspection.
  • Measure, weigh, and count products and materials.
  • Record product, packaging, and order information on specified forms and records.
  • Perform production duties such as manual lifting, packaging, taping, labeling operations and sorting

Job Requirements
  • Requires High School Diploma or equivalent work experience
  • At least 1 years experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Mathematically inclined
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to understand blueprints and other technical drawings
  • Ability to understand bill or material and other technical drawings
  • Certified forklift operator is an asset
  • Familiarity with SAP software is an asset



  • Work Conditions
  • Travel may be required.
  • Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals.
  • Overtime as required.
  • Lifting or moving up to 50 lbs may be required.
  • Work is performed in a combination of environments.
  • This position may be exposed to elements such as noise, dust, odors, fumes and oils.
