NGC Assembly

Position Overview

The NGC Assembler is responsible for the assembly of electronic equipment, parts and components including set up, operation and maintenance of complex and simple machinery.

Essential Job Functions
  • Being able to read blueprints, schematics and other technical diagrams
  • Fit parts to very close tolerances and operating requirements
  • Use of hand and power tools such as a soldering gun, drills and precision measuring equipment
  • Completes required job control, inventory and related reports (example: timecards)
  • Maintains assigned work area and equipment in a safe and professional manner
  • Connect cables and wires to complete assemblies and installations
  • Test electrical assemblies, equipment and wiring for proper performance using testing devices such as meters, analyzers, etc
  • Maintain and adhere to all company policies and procedures
  • Perform set up and maintenance of electronic test equipment
  • Assemble and attach hardware such as caps, clamps, knobs and switches to assemblies
  • Solder connectors and wires to boards
  • Understand and utilize ESD practices
  • Perform all duties in accordance with health and safety safe work requirements
  • Any other related duties as assigned

Job Requirements
  • Completion of Secondary School diploma or equivalent work experience
  • 1-3 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment with mechanical, hydraulic and electrical assembly experience
  • Mathematically inclined
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent time management and project management skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking ability
  • Ability to work in isolation or with a team
  • Willingness to extend knowledge and ability in the role

  • Work Conditions
  • Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination required
  • Manual lifting of various weighted products may be occasionally required
  • Use of personal protective equipment may be required
  • Overtime as required.
