Description
SUMMARY: The Contracts Administrator assists Contract Manager with management of contract files and database; prepare, negotiate, revise and draft form contracts including non-disclosure, consulting services, manufacturing, purchasing, real estate and other commercial contracts; interface with business associates to ensure that contracts reflect the business intent of the transaction and safeguard Malibu’s interests.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES:
RESPONSIBILITY LEVEL Under the supervision of the Contracts Manager, work with MRA business associates to prepare, negotiate and finalize a broad array of contracts and amendments, and manage the company's contract database.
1. Review and analyze contracts
2. Negotiate standard and nonstandard contracts in accordance with established policies and guidelines
3. Ensure final contract documents are consistent with agreements reached at negotiations
4. Capture, record and report to interested parties key contract terms
5. Monitor contract status and effectively channel deals from formation to timely execution
6. Identify potential risks and contract issues that may have a negative effect on the company and communicate concerns to Counsel and other appropriate parties
7. Collaborate with various departments of the company to achieve desired outcomes
8. Consult with clients on business/legal issues and, working with counsel, create proper, innovative and effective solutions
9. Identify and implement contracting process improvements and communicate these improvements throughout the company
10. Independently handle Non-Disclosure, Independent Contractor, and other standard forms of agreements
11. Draft/prepare memoranda and reports as directed by the Contracts Manager
12. Undertake other projects as assigned by the Contracts Manager
13. Exercise sound judgment in performance of duties and discretion in decision-making
14. Follow directions and work independently
15. Effectively communicate with clients and colleagues and maintain confidentiality
16. Multi-task, handle stress, and meet deadlines
17. Get along with others
18. Be punctual and perform predictably
19. Perform other duties as assigned.
20. Basic understanding of the FAR, DFAR and ITAR

Requirements
• Any combination of education and experience equal to college certificate program in Contracts Administration or Purchasing or college work in business law/administration and two to three years experience in administrative support work, preferably with contracts.
• Ability to learn and follow Standard Operating Procedures
• Knowledge of personal computer software applications such as Word, Excel, and Access; ability to learn the Company ERP system
