Description
CPI is a world leader in the development and manufacture of Microwave Vacuum Electron Devices (MVEDs), which are devices that amplify microwaves to high power levels for use in radar, communications, television broadcast, medical treatment, scientific research and industrial processes. Advance your knowledge and engineering capabilities through on-the-job training and by participating in various projects involving design and development of state-of-the-art MVEDs.
  • Participate in advanced development projects including analytical modeling, device design and test
  • Learn and gain proficiency using our world class suite of design and simulation codes including SolidWorks, ANSYS, Magnet and Maxwell
  • Analyze product designs using multi-dimensional large signal distance and time stepping simulation codes
  • Test RF and thermo-mechanical performance of products
  • Conduct hands-on experiments
  • Gain valuable experience in manufacturing operations and product development
  • Develop detail drawings and specifications for individual product parts and components
  • Become a lead engineer on selected development projects
  • Publish and present significant technical progress at various technical conferences

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related Engineering Technology fields
  • Interest in a career that balances theoretical design work and hands-on experimental verification
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong team player with desire to work in a collaborative team environment
  • Self-motivation, high initiative and good organizational and project management skills
  • Relevant experience in the electronics industry through an internship is a plus
  • Desire to learn and build a career with a world class company
  • Previous experience with technical publications or technical conference presentations is a plus
